Portfolio > It was Evening all Afternoon > Endangered Species of Connecticut: Plants
The 331 plant species are painted in alphabetical order by Latin name- the same order they appear in the CT list. Each 1” strip is painted in the colors of the plant. The conservation status of the species is indicated by the location of a 1mm hole on each strip. From left to right the position indicates special concern, threatened or endangered. A larger 3mm hole on the right hand side of the scroll indicates that the species is considered extirpated (locally extinct).
