The birds are arranged in flocks according to their conversation status.
For the bird species representations, I followed the same process of research and observation followed by painting with watercolor. The decision to use a circular shape was inspired by a previous project, Birdsong, where I used the Merlin app to listen and identify the birds in my yard every morning for a year.
