The Cloak of Endangerment includes one 1" painted strip for every Endangered, Threatened and Special Concern species on the Connecticut state list. In total, the resulting strips fill fifty-five linear feet of paper. The paintings are organized by taxonomic groups; all birds together, all plants together. The painted stripes, cut into strips to create a fringe, are attached to a flattened hoop skirt.
